Valley Glen is a residential neighborhood in the southeastern section of the San Fernando Valley, within the city of Los Angeles, California. The area was historically part of Van Nuys and North Hollywood before being recognized as its own neighborhood in 1998. Spanning roughly 4.8 square miles, Valley Glen is bounded by Burbank Boulevard on the south, Hazeltine Avenue on the west, Sherman Way on the north, and the Hollywood Freeway (State Route 170) on the east. The Tujunga Wash and its associated flood-control channel cut through the middle of the neighborhood, a defining geographic feature of this part of the Valley.
